The included breakfast wasn't provided as agreed, and the staff's behavior left us feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. My male travel companion had booked his own bed in a shared dormitory, while I, a woman, had booked a private room. We felt the staff were spying from the kitchen with the lights off, checking whether he would stay in my room, even though he shared his dorm with both men and women. He was harassed by staff, and it felt like a serious lack of privacy. Bad staff, avoid.

The Madrassa Hostel facilities are cosy, and breakfast was really good, a lovely way to start the day. What made my stay special, though, was how genuinely friendly the Madrasa team were. They were kind, helpful, and ready to lend a hand with anything. I recommend staying here and will definitely come back on my next visit. Great place, even better people.

My sister and I got there early in the morning, before our room was ready. The staff kindly let us use an empty room to warm up and rest. We enjoyed the breakfast too. Everyone was nice and really accommodating.

I spent 2 weeks here, so I can say from experience that this hostel is for you if you're a real backer looking for authenticity, connections, and a spot in the center of the Medina. Mustafa, who looks after the hostel, is a great guy, super friendly, and always takes care of you. Highly recommend!
