Fiesta Inn Insurgentes Viaducto

The shower was a mess. Water ended up all over the floor every time, and I never figured out where it was coming from. I had to use all the towels to soak it up after each shower. The hotel itself has a strange layout that made me wonder if the architect had been a little drunk. On the plus side, I love a firm bed and firm pillows, and both were absolutely excellent. The restaurant food was atrocious, seriously. There’s a small Starbucks coffee station across from the chicken counter, but almost nobody was there to serve it.

The lobby looked great, but upstairs the room was the complete opposite. It smelled like pee, the sheets were stained, and the air conditioner was dirty. The phone didn’t work, the shower knob barely turned, and the coffee maker was disgusting. The location is good and close to everything, but the room itself was nasty, very Motel 6. I wouldn’t book it again.

The street noise was constant, with sirens and loud mufflers coming through. The room was roomy but barely furnished, just one chair even though there was space for a loveseat. Maintenance seemed questionable too: the privacy lock wasn’t fully screwed in, and an outlet fell apart. The towels were in awful shape, like overused gym towels, and they kept taking the old ones without bringing back enough replacements. At least the room felt clean, the staff responded when we needed something, and the location is very central. It’s okay, but missing a lot that could make it great.

My mom accidentally left her rings in the room, and after a week they finally told me they had looked for them. That was after I called four times. Every time, the girl said she’d check with the room cleaner and call me back, but she never did. So I assume they kept the rings. They posted a reply saying they searched, but they still never returned my calls. Don’t stay here if you expect your things to be returned. Americans, don’t stay here!
