The rooms were spacious and clean, and the location near the museums was perfect for us. Our host helped us figure out public transit and suggested a restaurant we really enjoyed. He’d also left coffee, tea, wine, stroopwafels, oranges, and a vase of tulips for us. There was some clutter by the entrance and in the garden, like you might see in my own garage or basement. It didn’t bother us, though it could annoy some people. With the good price, clean rooms, and location, we felt we’d hit the jackpot. Thank you!

Hotel Keizershof has a beautiful historic setting, with a garden and views over the canal, and it still feels like a place for locals rather than tourists. It’s family-run, and they made me feel at home. The rooms were very clean too. I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back.

The price was fair for a weekend in Amsterdam, especially compared with the competition, and the room was cozy and quiet despite the hotel’s central location. The family were very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was just cheese and sweets. I might have liked some meat, but I was fine with what they served. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in Amsterdam :)

The family were lovely and this is a very friendly little B&B. The steep, narrow spiral stairs are a real nightmare, though, and most rooms are on the third floor. We booked a garden room thinking it would be on the ground floor, but it was up on the third floor overlooking the garden. The position is great for visiting the main sights, and it’s easy to get here from the main station by metro.

We’ll definitely stay with Mary and Ernest again when we next visit Amsterdam. They were delightful hosts, and their hotel is lovely, right on a canal. The room and beds were very comfortable, and breakfast was yummy.
