We had a four-bed room on the top floor for a couple of nights. It was basic, but good value: the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was fine and clean enough, and the bar was great. The staff were welcoming, and the location was fantastic. Just be aware that the stairs up to the rooms are incredibly steep, though that seems common in Amsterdam.

We were meant to stay four nights, but left early the next morning. Our carpeted room smelled of mold and cigarettes all night, and with a shared shower and toilet it didn't feel suitable for a family. Breakfast was the only positive I can mention. To me, this felt more like a hostel for adults who don't mind noise, musty smoky carpets, and sharing a bathroom. We decided to look elsewhere, and I'd advise others to do the same.

We spent four nights in a shared room. The place was as expected, and although I’d seen comments about rude staff, the guys were friendly and very helpful with us. I found that if I said hello and made an effort to chat, they’d engage. Breakfast was basic but enough to get the day started. The rooms aren't pristine, but you get what you pay for, and it's not the Hilton. It’s about a 12-minute walk from the station, and wherever we went, we seemed to be only a few minutes from the hotel. The bar stays open all the time and the beer is reasonably priced. It’s close to all the things you’d want to enjoy in the Dam. Just keep an eye out for the cyclists.....🙈

We had a clean, comfortable room and a lovely view of a beautiful church. The hotel is a great base, close to many of the city's sights. Reception were kind and helpful, and breakfast was simple, tasty and well organized. We stayed for a few days and really enjoyed it. If you want a simple place that gives good value for money, this is a good fit. I’d definitely come back.

The room was a good size, with comfortable beds, and the shared shower and toilet on our floor were clean. We enjoyed our stay, and the bar downstairs was really cosy. The location is excellent, though probably not ideal for families. Check-in was quick and easy, and the guy at reception was friendly. They also stored our bags until we could check in. There’s no air conditioning, so it could get warm in hotter months. The stairs between floors are very steep and tricky. We managed with our two largest suitcases, but it’s not for the faint-hearted 😅. We’d definitely stay again.
