We had to file a police report for fraud after they kept our money and left us no way to recover it. They required a direct bank transfer outside Booking.com, which I’ve never been asked to make in dozens of rentals around the world. We sent it and they kept it. We stayed in September 2025, and they also kept our $600 security deposit instead of returning it. From the Booking.com reviews, this seems to happen often to guests from outside the EU. The parent company, "Crashnstay," operates two units in the building, Lanestay and Storestay. I’d avoid renting from them. The units aren’t insulated, the linens were dirty, and some parts of the building shown in the advertising weren’t accessible to us. They also wouldn’t let us control the thermostat because someone off-site manages it. During our stay, they didn’t answer our emails.
