We were due to leave on February 14 for an 8 pm flight, after arriving the afternoon before, so we asked if we could stay a little later. The receptionist was courteous and said checkout could be extended to 1 pm for free, or to 5 pm for half the room price, NPR 2350. Since that would only give us about four extra hours, we wanted to check the policy with the manager. He said half price applied only until 3 pm, and staying until 5 pm would cost the full NPR 4000 daily rate. We said we would leave the room, but then were told checkout had to be at 12 pm and that even 1 pm was not permitted. We were traveling with my wife and had nowhere to go until our evening flight, which made this stressful. Paying a reasonable late checkout fee wasn't the issue. The confusing, inconsistent information and how it was handled were disappointing. That morning at breakfast, the manager had asked whether we were from Bangladesh. After I told him we were from India, I felt his tone changed a little later on. I called the hotel where we had stayed at the start of the trip on February 8. They were happy to offer a half-day rate, and we could wait there comfortably until it was time for the airport. Hospitality also means being clear and consistent, and treating guests with understanding. A courteous approach makes a real difference.

We felt safe here, with the hotel's own security service, and didn't notice any night noise even though it's right in the middle of Thamal. The staff were lovely, and the manager was friendly and gave us useful advice for our EBC trek. Since we're coming back after the trek, we could leave some luggage at the hotel, and they also exchange dollars for Nepali rupees. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, and you can pick soft or firm pillows. The bathroom was very clean, with really hot water. Breakfast runs from 6:30-10:00 a.m., with Western favorites as well as Nepalese dishes.

There are plenty of shops around, including places for trekking gear and souvenirs, and it's a very handy spot for tourists. The hotel is modern and pleasant, with good facilities and a buffet breakfast. The manager helped us send some things home and arranged an airport transfer. When we stayed a second time, he upgraded our room, which we really appreciated.

We had a comfortable, clean room that stayed warm despite the cold outside, and the price felt reasonable for the service. The hotel is right in the heart of the Thamel tourist area, close to well-known restaurants, shopping centers, and spas, so getting around was easy. Mr. Dinanth deserves special mention. He was attentive to guests' comfort, offered great service and sightseeing tours, and paid attention to the details. My thanks to him and the whole team for a lovely stay. With best regards, Khalid

The staff were kind, professional, and ready to help, and they can arrange outings or point you toward good options. The food was delicious, the beds super comfortable, and the hotel itself is lovely and clean. This is where I'll stay whenever I come back to Kathmandu. Highly recommend it!
