The Mua Luxury Homes Apartment Hotel

The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the place is clean and really cute inside. There are plenty of useful things within walking distance, including a pharmacy, restaurants and shops. I recommend it!

We stayed at the Mua Luxury Homes for four nights as a family and really enjoyed it. Secil, the owner, was kind and welcoming, and made our stay fantastic. We arrived early in the morning while our room was still occupied, so we booked a smaller space for half a day to get some rest. The apartments work well for families, with two sleeping spaces, and the building has a gorgeous terrace where we loved spending time. Any small issue was sorted out promptly. I can't recommend The Mua Luxury Homes enough.

Secil at Reception was incredibly friendly and helpful, and I can't fault the service. I booked through Booking.com, and the third party made a few mistakes with the booking. Secil took care of it and made sure everything was okay. It was my first time in Istanbul, and this hotel was a great fit for 3-4 nights. The location is excellent for a first-time visitor, with the major historical sites an easy walk away. Evenings are quiet, so for nightlife and food you'll need to travel a little, though it's not too hard. The facilities are basic, like a standard hotel, but everything you need is provided.

We can't speak to the accommodation itself, since we never stayed. But our dealings with Mua were enough to make us avoid the place entirely. We booked through an online travel agency, and the Istanbul protests escalated around our travel dates. With over 1k people detained, tear gas being used daily, and governments advising people to reconsider travel unless it was absolutely necessary, taking a toddler and an elderly woman no longer felt feasible. The agency agreed to waive its fees and help communicate with Mua Luxury Homes. Mua still insisted on the full amount under its cancellation policy, with no flexibility for events like protests, wars or earthquakes as force majeure. The worst part was a Mua representative saying there was "no security problem" in Istanbul, along with other yada yada nonsense. Mua's refusal to consider the circumstances and that response told us enough. I'd avoid this place.
