Casa Romantico

We’ve already booked another stay, a spa weekend in July, and can’t wait to come back. This lovely place is about a 15-minute walk from where the coach drops you off, and we’re so glad we chose it. Our room was in the garden, beside the heated pool. Breakfast had lots of choice, and the welcome was warm. The hosts are friendly, and the whole B&B feels so homely, with lovely attention to detail everywhere. Thanks for your hospitality in your wonderful home x

The owners seem to put real effort into making this a nice place, but the driving and parking arrangements were extremely poorly explained, and the experience left me stressed and upset. I came from abroad and followed Google Maps, but couldn’t find the hotel or any parking signs at first. At reception, I was told to reverse down a one-way street, which felt dangerous with bikes and cars continually coming from behind. Then I was directed to an underground garage that was much too narrow for my SUV, so I refused to enter. I was next told to park just past the hotel gates, but getting in was difficult because the entrance was so narrow. While I was trying to maneuver, the owner made snarky remarks, including “seeing how you reverse…”. The next day, the other owner tried to guide me out through the gates but wasn’t paying attention, and the side of my car got scratched. That was ultimately my mistake, sure, but their attitude was shocking and rude. This ruined my experience.

My wife and I spent three nights here and really enjoyed it. Our outside room, with its patio, was comfortable and well equipped, and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was generous and delicious. It’s great value for money, and for the price you won’t go wrong here.

We’ll definitely come back. The heated pool was a pleasure, breakfast was delightful, and private parking is available for a small charge. Bruges centre is literally a five-minute walk away. The property was amazing, spotless, beautifully furnished, and the hosts were attentive.
