Louis Hotel

The garage can be tight, has limited spaces, and may cost a bit, but it works. For me, that’s a small drawback given how much this hotel gets right. The rooms feel luxurious, with plenty of space, elegant design, quality bedding, and thoughtful touches that mix modern comfort with Bavarian charm. The location makes exploring effortless, with historic sights, shops, cafes, charming streets, and public transport all close at hand. The staff are warm, attentive, and professional, and they remember preferences and share useful local tips. Every visit to Munich feels like coming home here. I can’t picture choosing another hotel.

The room was clean, but that was about the only good part of our stay. We had free parking, which was useful, though it’s still about a 15-minute walk away. We requested a late checkout and were charged extra for just 40 more minutes while we were trying to leave. That seemed unreasonable for a hotel of this level. Housekeeping also knocked every 10 minutes the whole time, which made leaving far more stressful than it needed to be. Reception was disappointing too. Vanessa, if we got her name right, since staff don’t wear name tags, was very unwelcoming. The service felt cold and not focused on guests.

We stayed five nights and it felt like a home away from home. The hotel is central, beautifully designed, and our room was spacious and clean. Everything was wonderful, including the coffee machine and minibar, which was refilled for free each day. A helpful man at reception made a real difference. I’m sorry I can’t remember his name, but he was outgoing and assisted us with arrival, departure, and other tasks.

We celebrated a special occasion at this venue, and the management and staff were so capable and professional. Thanks for being fabulous. We’ll be back.
