Marco at reception deserves a special mention. He was welcoming and kind, and gave us really useful tips on getting around Munich, sightseeing, and places to eat. His help and positive attitude made the trip easier and more enjoyable. Everyone else we met was friendly and professional too. We had a great stay at Motel One and would happily come back on a future visit to Munich.

The hotel has a science and technology theme, and it was clean. The room was small, though the bed was comfortable. There was just one luggage rack, with no room for two people’s bags. Continental breakfast costs extra.

They put my things in the garbage while I was out, then said, “We thought you checked out,” even though my reservation had been fully paid. The following day, they blocked my key card and claimed my reservation had ended, which wasn’t true. Nobody apologized for any of it. Be careful with this place. It’s the worst hotel I’ve ever seen.

Marienplatz is about a 20-minute walk away. The bed was comfortable, the staff were helpful, and breakfast was alright. My room didn’t have a fridge, coffee maker, or bottled water.

The rooms were clean and modern, though a bit small, and we were quite satisfied with the stay. Staff were very kind and helpful during the reservation process and gave us all the information we needed beforehand. The location is excellent, with a direct train to the airport and both the city center and main train station within walking distance. Breakfast was decent. I would have liked some hot choices, such as omelets, alongside the boiled eggs. We’d definitely recommend this hotel.
