Hotel San Lucas

We walked around after dark and had a nice time. The area seemed generally safe, though there were a few l@dies working and some homeless people within a block or two. Since this isn't an hourly motel, they won't be right on top of you. The location is handy for a city trip, with the front door leading to pino suarez metro station. Our pet-friendly room came with a one-car garage. It's basic and not fancy, but decent.

Good spot, and the hotel is clean, updated, and pleasantly no-frills.

Because traffic is one-way, getting to the hotel's parking garage can be tricky.

We picked this place mainly for the location, and the room itself was basic, which is fine since we usually stay in budget places. But it wasn't very clean, and we found bugs. The sink had weak water pressure, while the shower pressure was so strong that water splashed onto the floor. There's no shower door, and the transparent bathroom door wouldn't close, so privacy was limited. We booked through Expedia because the listing and confirmation both said breakfast was included. On arrival, staff said it wasn't on their paper, even after we showed them the booking details. Four employees later, we were told to sort it out with Expedia, even though they acknowledged that the hotel had entered the information there. Several hours later, another employee texted an apology and gave us two breakfast coupons, one for each night. They said we could still use that day's coupon in the afternoon, but when we returned, the cook refused to give us the meal, which was just toast and yogurt. We wouldn't stay here again.
